BatchLeads vs PropStream: The Real Rivalry
Our DealMachine comparison ended in a truce, because a desk tool and a field tool never really compete. No truce is available here. BatchLeads and PropStream are both desk tools built on similar data, chasing the same subscriber, and the choice comes down to which half of the list workflow is actually your bottleneck.

Our DealMachine vs PropStream comparison ended by refusing to name a winner, because a desk tool and a field tool are opposite entrances to the same building. This page has no such exit. BatchLeads and PropStream are the genuine rivalry in this category: two desk platforms on similar data, priced within sight of each other, selling to the same list-driven investor.
Both have full standalone reviews behind this page, each with its own researched data layer. What follows is the head-to-head those layers make possible.
The one-sentence version
PropStream is strongest before the list exists; BatchLeads is strongest after. Everything else is detail on that sentence.
Same backbone, different machines
Start with what does not differentiate them, because it saves buyers a month of feature-matrix reading. Both platforms build on the same public data backbone: county records, recorded documents, MLS-derived status, distress signals. Both inherit the identical aggregator weakness, freshness that varies by county and layer, which is why both of our reviews prescribe the same trial-week test: audit your own county against facts you already know.
The machines built on that backbone point different directions. PropStream's is a research instrument: the deepest filter set in the category, comps, and a database posture that treats list construction as the product. BatchLeads' is a conversion instrument: list stacking that triangulates motivation across overlapping lists, contact data included in the plan, and mail, SMS, and dialer running from the same screen. Neither tool is missing the other's half so much as treating it as an afterthought.
The pricing crossover, computed
Figures re-verified August 30, 2026, from each vendor's pricing page; both shuffle tiers, so verify before buying. Illustrative math on stated terms, per our house rule.
| PropStream | BatchLeads Growth | |
|---|---|---|
| Base, monthly billing | $99/mo | $119/mo |
| Base, annual billing | about 17% off | $71/mo (about 40% off) |
| Contact data | ~$0.12 per traced result on base tier | Included; overage ~$0.04/record |
| Included volume | 10,000 exports/mo | 10,000 leads/mo, 20,000 exports |
| Realistic active spend | $150 to $200/mo | $71 to $119 plus outreach costs |
Here is the arithmetic that actually decides it. On monthly billing, PropStream at $99 plus twelve cents a trace stays cheaper than BatchLeads at $119 until roughly 170 traced records a month; past that, the included-data model wins. On annual billing the question collapses: BatchLeads Growth at $71 undercuts PropStream's base before a single record is traced. PropStream's counterweight is that its higher tiers bundle tracing free, which restores the balance for heavy users willing to climb tiers.
The honest summary: light tracers on monthly terms lean PropStream; committed list-workers on annual terms lean BatchLeads; and at either extreme the difference is real money, not rounding.
The Trustpilot inversion
The ratings rows from our two reviews, side by side, contain the sharpest single fact in this comparison:
| Platform | PropStream | BatchLeads | As of |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot | 4.0 / 5 (~300 reviews) | 4.7 / 5 (~1,350 reviews) | Aug 18, 2026 |
| G2 | 4.7 / 5 (193) | 4.8 / 5 (147) | Aug 18, 2026 |
| Brand searches/mo | 33,100 | 5,400 | Aug 18, 2026 |
On G2 they are effectively tied. On Trustpilot, BatchLeads holds a higher score on a sample four times larger, in a category where every other tool we have reviewed sags there. Both honest readings from our BatchLeads review apply: the company works its review pipeline, and 4.7 across thirteen hundred public reviews is not sustainable on cultivation alone. Meanwhile PropStream draws six times the brand searches, the incumbency signal. The market's default is PropStream; the louder public satisfaction record is BatchLeads. Those are different facts, and a buyer should hold both.
The complaint themes complete the picture, and they barely overlap. PropStream's users grumble about data freshness, the cost of its breadth. BatchLeads' users grumble about edge-of-platform bugs and skip-trace hit quality, the cost of its workflow sprawl. Each tool's weakness lives exactly where it spends least attention, which is the other one's strength.
What the financing desk sees, briefly
Both reviews carry full financing sections and they apply unchanged, so we will not restate them: PropStream's list deals carry the aggregator-ARV-versus-appraiser gap, and BatchLeads' stacked-list deals select for situational motivation, where certainty of close is the bidding weapon. What the pair adds is one shared instruction: desk-sourced deals are won at conversion, and conversion economics are cost per closed deal, outreach included. Whichever platform builds the pipeline, run the deal itself through the DSCR calculator or the fix-and-flip calculator before the offer, and remember that the speed a motivated seller is shopping for is a financing feature.
Verdict
Unlike our last comparison, this one picks. If your bottleneck is finding candidates, buy PropStream: nothing else matches its filter depth, and its higher tiers neutralize the skip-trace math. If your bottleneck is converting lists you can already build, buy BatchLeads on annual terms: the workflow is purpose-built and the price undercuts the incumbent. If you genuinely cannot say which bottleneck is yours, that is itself the answer: start with PropStream's breadth until your pipeline tells you where it hurts, then revisit.
Either way, the tool builds the pipeline and the financing closes it. When the list finally produces a live deal, run your numbers with our desk.

Is BatchLeads or PropStream better for wholesaling?
Split by stage. Sourcing-heavy wholesalers who live in filters and county layers get more from PropStream, because list construction is its center of gravity. Conversion-heavy wholesalers whose lists already exist get more from BatchLeads, because stacking, tracing, and outreach in one motion is the job it was built for. Established wholesaling operations skew BatchLeads; researchers and part-timers skew PropStream.
Which is cheaper, BatchLeads or PropStream?
It depends almost entirely on billing term and skip-trace volume, as of August 2026. PropStream's base is $99 a month with tracing metered around 12 cents a result; BatchLeads Growth is $119 monthly but $71 a month billed annually, with contact data included. On monthly billing, PropStream stays cheaper until roughly 170 traced records a month. On annual billing, BatchLeads Growth undercuts PropStream's base before you trace a single record. Both vendors shuffle tiers, so verify both pricing pages before deciding.
Do BatchLeads and PropStream use the same data?
Both build on the same public backbone: county records, recorded documents, MLS-derived status, and similar distress signals. Neither's raw coverage is a decisive edge, and both inherit the same aggregator weakness, freshness that varies by county and data type. The differentiation is what each platform does on top of the data: PropStream in filter depth and comps, BatchLeads in stacking and outreach.
Can I replace PropStream with BatchLeads?
If you use PropStream mainly to pull lists and trace owners, yes, and the annual math may favor the switch. If you lean on its deeper filter combinations, comps workflow, or its breadth as a one-stop research database, you will feel the loss. The cleanest way to know: run BatchLeads' trial against your last month of real PropStream usage and see which features you actually reach for.
What about DealMachine?
Different axis entirely. DealMachine is a field tool built around driving for dollars, and it competes with neither of these where they live. Our DealMachine vs PropStream comparison covers that split, and the short version holds here: desk tools compete with each other; the windshield is its own category.
