Tamara Pawlak

Tamara leads Business Development and Investor Relations at OneMoreDoor Capital.

She works directly with real estate investors, referral partners, and lending relationships, understanding what each investor is trying to accomplish and helping financing opportunities move from the first conversation through closing.

Her path to investor finance was not a traditional one, and that experience is one of the strengths she brings to OneMoreDoor.

Before joining the company, Tamara spent more than six years as Director of a private nonprofit school in Washington, where she was responsible for much of the business and operational side of the organization.

Her work included human resources, compliance, finance, facilities, admissions, technology, scheduling, policy development, and day-to-day administration.

She also led the school through a multi-year accreditation process from beginning to end, coordinating the self-study, documentation, evidence collection, policy work, and communication required to successfully complete the process.

That experience translates well to financing: understand the requirements, keep the documentation organized, communicate clearly, stay ahead of open items, and follow the process all the way through.

Earlier in her career, Tamara spent a decade in hospitality, eventually moving into operations management. It was an environment where judgment and communication mattered every day, and an education in something spreadsheets can't teach: people. She hired and trained employees, managed teams, resolved conflicts, worked with customers, and learned to make good decisions quickly when circumstances changed.

She also spent eight years doing contract web design, giving her a background in digital communication, presentation, and creative problem-solving.

At OneMoreDoor, those experiences come together.

Tamara's role spans investor relationships, referral partnerships, business development, and the communication required to help financing opportunities keep moving.

Investors do not need someone reading a script. They need someone who listens, understands what they are trying to accomplish, and follows through.

That is the part of the business Tamara cares about most.

Tamara is also a visual artist and writer.

That creative background influences the way she thinks about communication, problem-solving, and looking at a situation from more than one angle.
